I need help telling how big or small this is?

I’ve been looking for a small red crystal or glass ball for some time now and a friend found one online and I went to look at it. But I can’t figure out the mm to Inches. I’ve used conversion charts but everything past the one and decimal confuses me.
This is what I’m interested in buying:

What would help is for someone to give it a comparison? Like is it the size of a golf ball or a baseball?
Thank you to those that help!
I know the size in MM, but I need it’s size in Inches. I want to know it’s ball comparison, like I said, or if you DO know MM than what is it’s MM size most like? A golf ball, baseball??

Erm, unless you’re talking about something else… the description reads “50mm size crystal ball (1 7/8″ dia)”.

edit: Yes dear… as in… 50mm = 1 7/8 inches… the symbol ” stands for inches. Do you own a ruler? That will show you how big 1 7/8 inches is.

  2. Purity says:

    50 mm. = 5 cm. ~ 2 in.

    golf ball!

  4. I accept Chaos says:

50 mm is not even 2 inches but pretty close. So that globe is a little small than a tennis ball.

    Hi,

The crystal ball in question would be about the size of a large walnut. You could probably put your pointer finger and thumb together in a circle and have a good idea. 50mm converts to a 5 cm ball, the diameter is 1.7/8 inches, which is just about 2 inches.

    Hope that helps
